Who we are
The 1TRADER news team summarises economic and market news that moves currencies, gold and the US dollar index in plain language for retail traders. English versions are translated from our Thai originals. All content is for education and following the markets and is not investment advice
Sources we use
Primary sources (always used first): the US Federal Reserve, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the US Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA), the University of Michigan, the European Central Bank (ECB), the Bank of Japan (BoJ) and the Bank of England (BoE)
Secondary sources (used to confirm figures, forecasts and market prices): established financial news services and market data providers such as FXStreet, Trading Economics and TradingView, and reputable business media
Every article has a “Sources” box with links to the originals so you can check them yourself.
How we report and fact-check
- We write in our own words. We do not copy content from other sources, and we always cite where information comes from.
- Key figures must be confirmed by at least 2 sources. If we cannot confirm a figure, we leave it out and link to the official source instead.
- Every data box shows its date and time (GMT on English pages), because market prices change all the time.
- Facts are kept separate from opinion. Market views and scenarios are clearly labelled as analysis, not trading signals.
- Checked before publishing: figures against their sources, working links and no leftover placeholder text. Articles that fail these checks are not published.
Automation and AI
We use automated systems and AI tools to gather data, draft news and format pages, under all the rules above: figures confirmed from several sources, links to the original sources and accuracy checks before publishing. The team monitors the system every day and fixes problems as they come up.
Conflicts of interest and disclosure
1TRADER earns income from broker partner programmes and rebates (cashback), for example from Exness and XM, when readers open an account through our links. This relationship does not affect our news coverage or the direction of our analysis, and promotional sections in articles are kept clearly separate from the news.
The overseas brokers mentioned on this website may not be regulated in your country. Check each broker’s licence and the risks yourself. See the full risk disclosure
Corrections and reporting errors
- If we find a wrong figure, date, time or other detail, we correct it in the original article as soon as possible.
- Corrections that change the substance are noted in the article as “Corrected on [date, time]: [what changed]”.
- Routine updates, such as adding the actual results to a news analysis post, show the update time at the top of the article.
