Cookie Policy
This page explains how 1TRADER uses cookies and similar technologies, what each type is for and how you can turn them on or off. Read it together with our Privacy Policy
Effective from 26 September 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website saves in your browser to remember certain information, such as whether you are logged in or the settings you chose. Besides cookies, websites may use browser storage (localStorage), which works in a similar way. This policy covers both.
2. Types of cookies we use
| Type | What it does | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Keep the website and member system working securely, remember your cookie settings and protect against attacks or spam | No (always on) |
| Statistics | Count visitors and see which pages are read most, so we can improve our content and tools | Yes |
| Marketing | Measure ads and show ads that match your interests on other platforms, such as Facebook or Google | Yes |
Statistics and marketing cookies stay off until you click “Accept” or turn that category on yourself. If you click “Reject non-essential”, the website still works normally.
3. Cookie list
| Name | Type | Details | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
ot_consent | Necessary | Remembers which cookie categories you allowed (1TRADER) | 180 days |
| Member login cookies | Necessary | Keep you securely logged in at member.1trader.com (set as HttpOnly and Secure) | Per login session |
| Website system cookies | Necessary | Cookies from WordPress and our hosting provider, used for security, caching and site administration | Set by the provider |
| localStorage | Necessary | Temporarily stores gold and currency prices so pages load faster, and remembers some choices. No personal data | Until you clear your browser |
_ga, _ga_* | Statistics | Google Analytics, used to tell visitors apart anonymously (only if we turn this tool on and you consent) | Up to 2 years |
_fbp, _fbc | Marketing | Meta Pixel, used to measure ads on Facebook and Instagram (only if we turn this tool on and you consent) | 90 days |
As of the effective date, 1TRADER does not use any third-party statistics or marketing tools. If we add them in future, we will update this list and ask for your consent again.
4. Third-party services
- YouTube videos embedded in our pages and fonts from Google Fonts may receive your IP address or set cookies under Google’s policies
- Broker account-opening links When you click one, the broker’s website or partner network may set its own cookies to record that you came from 1TRADER. This is outside our control.
- Facebook and YouTube buttons take you to that platform, which has its own privacy policy
5. How to manage cookies
- Click the Cookie settings button or the small round button at the bottom left of the website to turn each category on or off. If you withdraw consent, we delete the cookies in that category that we can access and reload the page.
- You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, such as Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox, but if you block necessary cookies the member system may not work.
- We ask for consent again after 180 days, or when we add a tool that uses a new type of cookie.
6. Consent records
Each time you accept, reject or change your settings, the system records a random consent ID, your choice for each category, the time, the page, your browser type and a one-way hash of your IP address (we do not store your real IP), as evidence of consent under the PDPA. These records are kept for up to 2 years and then deleted automatically.
